Annual Police Wellness Checks
There is a growing interest in the value of Annual Psychological Wellness (APW) checks for police officers, communicators, and their loved ones (PSP+L).
Broadly, the goals of these APW’s include a review of the member’s MH; a “gateway” to build a relationship with a trusted clinician/ agency; provide any relevant feedback to the PSP+L.
PSP+L are often encouraged to seek out APW’s, and police services increasingly encourage or require the completion of them for their members.
Broadleaf Health/ ARCH Wellness Checks
Broadleaf Health, Founded and Directed by Dr. Andrew Ekblad has a history of providing thousands of APW for PSP+L and their families over the last 10 years.
To our knowledge, Broadleaf Health is the only MH clinic in Ontario to have established APW at multiple police services.
To our knowledge, Broadleaf Health is the only MH clinic to have been endorsed by police service and police association leadership in their provision of APW.
Broadleaf Health’s ARCH (Annual Resilience, Connection, and Health) program is a standardized APW designed to be completed by PSP+L and, uniquely, provide them with available follow up professional support, a personalized report, and personalized, frequently updated resources on other relevant services in their area.
